Summer Favourites!

Hey everyone! I haven’t done a monthly favourites post at all this summer, so I decided to just do another collective favourites post. A lot of these items are makeup/beauty related, which is great because I feel as if it’s been a hot minute since I got to talk in depth about makeup on here! I hope everyone’s summer has been fun and eventful!

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen

This is at the top of the list because it’s arguably the most summer essential item. I like this sunscreen because it’s SPF 110, so I know my face is going to be well protected against those harsh UVA and UVB rays. It doesn’t make my skin oily or greasy and it absorbs pretty fast. Everything I need in a good sunscreen!

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Gel Creme

This was sent to me free from Influenster, and they couldn’t have sent it at a more perfect time! During the summer, I don’t need a moisturizer that’s thick and heavy, like I do in the winter time. This gel moisturizer still gives me the moisture that I need for the day, but it’s also super light and fast absorbing, which means that it won’t make my skin feel like it’s caked on with product! I also have to mention the packaging. It looks super cute on my vanity!

Dodo Lashes – D115

IMG_7322

I love these lashes from Dodo Lashes because they give me the length I want, while still looking relatively natural. I find myself wearing these out as every day lashes, but also being able to “dress them up” and wear them when I’m going out. Regardless of the scenario, these always look good! I’m definitely going to be ordering more because all their lashes are $5 – $12 and you get free shipping when you spend $30 or more! (BTW, planning on posting this look too, so keep your eyes peeled!)

I’m super stoked to announce that I have a coupon code with Dodo Lashes! If you use the code “brittney” at check out, you can save money on your already affordable lash order!!

Morphe Jaclyn Hill Palette

I picked this up at Ulta during my trip to New York, and I was so hype about it that I felt like I could cry. I’ve been wanting the JH Palette forever, but I’m that bum bish who doesn’t like paying for shipping. I love the versatility of colors in the palette, and I feel like this has reignited a spark in me. I love playing with all the colors, and I’ve used it for both my recent MOTD posts!

Tarte Shape Tape – Medium

Another pick up from Ulta. I wish I bought more, I love this concealer! It’s definitely full coverage, but it just makes my under eyes seem so flawless and smooth! I’ve never really used concealer before I bought this, but now I feel as if I can’t live my life without it.

I do have to say, I don’t know if I got a faulty product or something, but whenever I close the tube, concealer always squirts out from under the lid (does that make sense/does this happen to anyone else?) I hate it because I feel like I’m wasting product!!

Miniso Pink Panther Eyeliner

This was definitely a steal, and a life changing one at that! This is one of the best eyeliners I’ve ever used, and I genuinely think I will have a hard time finding something that I like better. You can draw such a crisp wing with this, and the formula is amazing. Waterproof and lasts all day! Shoutouts to Tose for putting me on this. I’m lowkey sad that I can never find the black version, but I still do like the brown. It looks really nice with more neutral eye shadow looks, but it’s also dark and pigmented enough that you can really use it for any occasion.

What are some of your favourite products this summer? Let me know in the comments! And if you want to stay more updated on what I’m up to, follow me on Twitter and Instagram. I hope you guys will see more of me soon. Love you always!

Sephora VIB Sale Haul!

First of all, let’s ignore the fact that I’ve been missing for three months. That’s a story for another post. I wanted to show you guys the things I got from the Sephora VIB sale! I’m actually super pleased with everything I managed to grab, despite some of the things I had my eye on selling out (ie: the four pack of Clarisonic brush heads for $80… til next time I guess 😢). We all know that ya girl LOVES a good deal, and I can confidently say that I got my money’s worth this time around! I saved $45 on everything, which is pretty good considering I got a lot of things.

Also, something that I learned this time around is that the Sephora app and website are not that accurate when it comes to stock in store.

  1. Some things I wanted on the app said that no store in my area had the item in stock. Which was a lie because I went to two different stores on two different occasions, and they still had the items.
  2. Also, I found an item in store that had the “online only” label on it on the app/website

Trust no one!!! Jokes. Don’t go to those extremes. But from my experience, I’m probably just going to do my VIB sale shopping in store from now on.

MOTD: All Matte Everything

Before you read this, just know that I am aware that I need to invest in a better camera to capture my pictures. My cell phone just doesn’t cut it when I need to zoom in and showcase the colors I used. I’m sorry!!!! Okay, continue.

I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve been able to play with my palettes. Maybe it’s cause I don’t normally wear eyeshadow to school, which is where I spend the majority of my time… Either way, this look is the result of boredom, and also because I wanted to practice my blending skills.
