Another month has flown by! May was a really good month for me. ALBOE turned 1, I got the chance to spend a lot of quality time with people and through keeping up with consistent workouts, I’ve been feeling myself getting stronger and seeing those baby gainzzzz come in! Of course, I’m still beginning, but wow, I’ve been feeling really good lately. I think it also has a lot to do with the nice weather. But anyways. Here are all the things I’ve been loving this month. You’ll notice this list is pretty random and all over the place tbh, but I think that makes monthly favourites posts really fun.
Amazon has this really good deal for students, where you can get a free trial of Prime for six months, and once the six months is up, you can get a Prime membership for half off! I finally signed up, and let me tell you. I love the convenience, I love the shipping speed, I literally love everything about Prime. Unfortunately, I went on a bit of a Prime spree (hehe), so I had to delete the app from my phone, so I wouldn’t be tempted to buy anything for a while.
Pilot G-Tec C4
I ordered a three pack of these pens on Amazon (surprise surprise) and I think it’s taken my bullet journal to another level. I find that with the extreme fine tip, my bullet journal just looks so much more clean and organized! I’m glad I got a three pack because these pens have replaced my other favourite pens (the Pentel RSVP fine tip ones, if you’re wondering), not only for in my bullet journal, but also in my planner and every other place I need to write something down! You can read my May BuJo post if you’re curious to see what it looks like on paper.
Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Silky Cream
I initially wasnt planning on repurchasing but I just might. My boyfriend even noticed the difference in how soft and silky my skin was, so I think thats a sign that this could be a worthwhile investment. It just makes your skin feel so nice. I won’t go into much detail though, because I did write a review on this, which you can read here!
Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel – Aloe
Life changing. Once you’re done in the shower, you apply the oil to your wet skin, pat yourself dry and then apply lotion. To be honest, the sensation does take some getting used to, because you pretty much turn into a slippery, oily blob. But since it is a gel, I think it applies nicer than just using regular baby oil. I shower at night, and I always find that the next morning, my skin is so smooth. And the smoothness lasts for the next two days. I normally lotion my body twice every single day, but I find that since I started using this, I don’t need to because my skin stays so soft!
Hot Ones is a Youtube series where Sean Evans from Complex interviews a bunch of people while eating hot wings. Each wing gradually gets spicier and spicier as the interview goes on. I’ve pretty much binge watched the entire series, and it’s currently on it’s third season. It’s a different and interesting way to interview people and it’s actually really fun to watch, even though I didn’t know every single person who was interviewed. I would love to do this, but also, I don’t think my spice tolerance is high enough to reach the end.
Love Crunch granola
I got this granola from Costco. It’s has a bunch of health benefits, it’s organic, non GMO etc etc… to be honest though, these aren’t the main reasons why I like it. I just like it because it tastes so good! It’s chocolate flavoured with chunks of dark chocolate and dried strawberries and raspberries in it. Not only is it really good in yogurt, but it’s a good to take with you on the go as a snack at school or work. My sister got me hooked to adding granola clusters to yogurt a while back, and ever since then I’ve been eating a lot of yogurt… and a lot of granola. They pair so well together yall!
Adidas Adilette Slide
I have been looking everywhere for these since last summer. I really
needed wanted a pair of good quality slides that I could wear with pretty much any outfit, because once it starts to get warmer, I absolutely DESPISE wearing shoes. I looked a bit too late last summer, and pretty much every store that sold these no longer had my size (my feet are tiny and it really seemed like no one ever restocked my size…) I started my search early this year and I lucked out and found them! I love them so much, they’re so sturdy, and I’ve worn them nearly every day since Ive gotten them.
This is my mom’s diffuser, but she hadn’t been using it in a while, so I borrowed it from her. I know a lot of people who love diffusers and essential oils and I was curious to try it for myself. Having a diffuser going makes me feel calm, but I feel like that is partly due to the oil I use. I also enjoy coming into my room and having it lightly scented. It’s nice and refreshing to have, especially in the hotter months. You can have it diffusing constantly or intermittently (in this case it’s a puff every minute), which is what I normally do, because if you have it constantly diffusing, the smell can be overpowering. You can also use this diffuser asa humidifier! Which I think I need to do because it’s pretty dry here, and I’m constantly getting nosebleeds when I wake up in the morning!
The oil I am currently using is called Yoga and its a combination of orange, patchouli. Indian Nerouli, champa and rosewood essential oils!
