Hey everyone! Another month over means another month of favourites. This one is short and sweet, but everything on this list of favourites have been things I’ve used practically non stop this entire month. I hope April has treated you as well as it has treated me!
Also, like I mentioned before, my blogs turns one year old in exactly a week (which is so crazy to me, it really doesn’t feel like it’s been that long). I’m doing something special and fun that I’ve been planning for a couple weeks now, so stay tuned. I really hope you guys think it’s cool because if not, I’ll be pretty sad LOL.
Hey everyone! My bullet journal and I are back! A lot of you enjoyed my first Brittney’s BuJo post, so I decided this is definitely going to be a recurring series on my blog! I really like my layout for this month in comparison to last month, so if you want to see what it looks like, keep reading!
Hey everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t posted at all last week, it has been a busy week and I didn’t have a lot of time to devote to writing posts. Like I’ve said before, I want to stick to my Tuesday & Friday posting schedule as much as possible, but if I don’t like the posts I’ve come up with, or if I don’t have enough time to devote to posting, I won’t. I’m sure you all understand! Quality over quantity, right? Rest assured, I will be back to my normal posting days starting now. Anyways, I just wanted to come on here and tell you guys about a few things I’ve been up to while I’ve been away.
On Wednesday, my boyfriend and I had the opportunity to try floating! This has been something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, ever since my best friend did a float and raved about it to me last summer. CJ and I are constantly entering Instagram contests for activities to do around Calgary, and he just so happened to win us two floats (shout outs to @datenightyyc!) at Clear Float Spa. Click the read more to find out more about my experience! Hopefully this answers any questions you might have if you’ve ever wanted to float yourself.
It’s my last day of school tomorrow, and since I’m not taking any spring courses, that means I have a four month long summer. Wow. And then that means I only have one more year until the long awaited, much anticipated graduation. Technically my semester isn’t quite over, since I still have finals to write, but I’m already thinking of what I want to do over the course of four months. For the past two years, I’ve been making Summer Bucket Lists on my Tumblr (2015’s list is here and 2016’s list is here), but I figured that for this year, and all other years I have this blog, I’ll just start posting them here! And that way, whenever I check something off the bucket list, y’all will be the first to see it. Also, if anything pops into my head of other activities I want to do, I’ll probably update this post, so check back often if you’re interested!
Also while reading through the things I want to do, a lot of them are activities that I can do over time, so I can’t really check it off and be done with it. If that makes sense… But I’ll still be updating my blog with my progress on these things here and there!
I am a huge breakfast fan. I love breakfast foods. Something about eating a good meal for breakfast seems to set up the rest of my day and makes it feel like I will have a great day. This is pretty hypocritical of me to say though, because on the regular, I never have time to make a nice breakfast and sit down to enjoy it. I’m usually rushing around the kitchen, quickly making coffee, and toasting some bread while trying to also finish a yogurt.
Anyways. My friends and I went to get breakfast yesterday (well technically it was brunch because we went at like 11:30, but it was my first meal of the day, therefore I’m calling it breakfast) at one of my favourite breakfast/brunch spots. It’s called The Bro’kin Yolk, and it’s fairly new restaurant that sells amazing food. But I could be biased since they have one of my all time favourite breakfast meals here… They were also featured on You Gotta Eat Here on The Food Network, which I think is so cool! You can watch it here if you’re interested. Thankfully, it’s a less than ten minute drive from my house. But this place is quite popular and whenever I go, I end up waiting for a bit before we get seated because it’s always busy (my fault though, because we never call ahead of time to put our name on the waitlist). The wait is always so worth it though.
Hey everyone! If you’ve read my March Favourites post, you would have seen that I started bullet journaling. I wanted to start this new series on my blog to track the progress of my bullet journal, as well as give some tips and inspiration to anyone else who bullet journals.
I’m the kind of person who loves (and needs) to write everything down. Bullet journaling is the perfect way for me to keep track of habits, goals, deadlines, ideas etc in one book, while also having the creative freedom to design every page in whatever way I want. Plus the dots on every page are ideal for a perfectionist like me, so I can ensure that everything is straight and evenly spaced out. Also, bullet journaling and the way you set up and design your bullet journal is 100% up to you!
Okay. Also. I don’t really like my March section in my BuJo, but I just wanted to showcase what I did for the month. I think all the colours and different layouts I experimented with make it look too cluttered (at least for my taste). It was very tempting to want to make my bullet journal look pretty and colourful, like many of the ones I saw on Instagram and Pinterest, but now I know for next month that I want to keep the design and layout very simple and minimalistic.
I hope this gives you inspiration for your bullet journals (even if that inspiration is what you don’t want your bullet journal to look like) and even if you don’t keep you own bullet journal and are just curious about what mine looks like, I hope you are satisfied. Until next month!
