January/February Favourites!

I didn’t do a January favourites, so I’ll be combining January and February together for my current favourites. Enjoy, and let me know some of the things you’ve been loving lately!

Tartelette In Bloom Palette

I bought this as a birthday gift for myself and I’m so glad I did. The colours in the palette speak to me on another level. They’re arranged by colour family to make it easy to create a quick look, but you can also mix and match the shades because they all look beautiful together. I like that there is more matte than shimmer shadows, because I reach for matte more often than shimmer, but it is nice to have that option available. The shadows are so buttery and pigmented, not to mention that they smell chocolatey! (It’s advertised as vanilla scented, but I think it smells more like chocolate)

This is also such a travel friendly palette. The colours allow you to create a whole bunch of different looks, so it could serve as the only palette you bring with you on your travels. It is also equipped with a large mirror, isn’t overly bulky and is quite sturdy.

Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Volum’Express Mascara

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I wear fake eyelashes more often than I wear mascara. For this reason, I’ve never been someone who is committed to one brand of mascara, just because it was all the same to me. I had been using a sample Lancome mascara that I got from Sephora, but I ran out, and I’ve heard a lot about this mascara. I love this for my lower lasehes because it doesn’t give me raccoon eyes, and it separates my lashes in the nicest way. It isn’t chunky and always applies the perfect amount of mascara everytime (I use this for my bottom lashes only because I find it doesn’t really do much for volume on my upper lashes)

Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I’m so sad that I love this so much because it is soo expensive. Regardless though, I love how amazing this oil makes my skin feel and I definitely see results after using it for two months. Read my full review on it here!

Ardell Faux Mink Lashes – 812

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I don’t know how long these have been out for, but I really like these lashes. They have the appearance of mink lashes, just without the large pricetag and well.. the mink haha. They are so lightweight and comfortable to wear, and while they are longer than I would normally go for, I like how they still appear natural on my eyes. I think the only complaint with these is that the band can be quite straight on your first use, so make sure to play around with it before applying your glue and putting it on your lashline. (I used them on this MOTD if you want to see them on my eyes!)

Kehlani SweetSexySavage

I was a bit late on listening to the full album, but ever since the first time I did, it’s pretty much all I’ve been listening to. I’ve been a fan of Kehlani’s for a while now, and it’s so cool that she finally has an album. I love seeing how successful the album, has become and I’m so proud of her!
