Bite Beauty: The Lip Pencil | Review

Happy reading break to my fellow uni students, and happy family day to my fellow canadians! Hope you’re all having an amazing day so far. I’m super excited to bring this post to you, as this is the first ever product that has been sent to me for reviewing purposes! Bite Beauty recently released their new line of lip pencils near the beginning of February, and I’ve been able to test them out for a good amount of time, so I’m here to bring yall a quick review!

Bite Beauty promises lightweight, creamy coverage with three times the amount of pigment. And I can say that they lived up to their claims. This was one of the creamiest lip liners I have ever tried! The pencil never tugged at my lips when applying and they were super comfortable on my lips. They are definitely pigmented enough to wear on their own, but I wouldn’t recommend doing it if you plan on wearing it all day.

Shade 044

So creamy! But if you plan on wearing them on it’s own, make sure your lips are moisturized! I find that the creaminess of the product will accentuate dry patches.

Shade 020

I think Bite created the lip pencils to go along with their existing collection of Amuse Bouche lipsticks, as 020 pairs perfectly with Honeycomb and 044 pairs amazingly with Whiskey. Of course you aren’t limited to these combos. I’ve been using 020 religiously for the past couple of weeks, since it’s a pretty good match for Colourpop’s Beeper, my everyday liquid lipstick.

The only thing I didn’t like about the lip pencil was the fact that it’s a pencil. I think having to sharpen it whenever it gets dull can be an inconvenience, and it also wastes a bit of product overtime (Obviously the waste is very minimal, but it still adds up!). I know that Bite was trying to go for a more “classic” product by having it in pencil form, but I prefer retractable or twist liners.

Final Thoughts

The product itself is amazing. By far, the most creamy and comfortable lip liners I have ever tried. However, I can’t see myself repurchasing these in the future, but these reasons are purely based on preference. These retail for $20CAD, and while out of my budget, especially for a lip liner, I think you are definitely paying for quality. I’m sure there are dupes for every one of these colours in the line, but I have yet to try a lip liner from the drugstore (or even high end for that matter) that performs as well as The Lip Pencil.

I was sent these products free from Influenster and Bite Beauty! I’m not being paid to post this on my blog and all opinions are my own!
