I can’t believe June is already over yall. I feel like so much of the summer has already passed, and I feel like I still have so many things to do! Maybe the fact that I was still in school this month made it feel like such a fast month. That being said, I’ve been really focussed on school this month so I haven’t had a lot of time to buy and try products but AYY I finished my class with an A!! So I plan on rewarding myself with some products I’ve really been wanting, so stay tuned for that hehe. Anyways, here are my favourites for June!

Hidden In The Jungle – Adult colouring book postcards

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

When I wasn’t trying to finish a paper or studying for my final this month, I was colouring the postcards in this book as a way to pass time and relieve stress. I like the fact that these are postcards, because when you’re done colouring the pictures, you can send them to your friends and family. And I know a lot of people love receiving things in the mail, so this is a nice way to surprise them and show them you care. Also I love the little jungle creatures I get to colour! Unfortunately, Canada Post is going on strike in a couple of days, so I won’t be able to send the postcards I finished colouring any time soon.

Batiste Big & Bouncy XXL Volume Dry Shampoo

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Shameless confession, I’m pretty sure I use dry shampoo more than regular shampoo. And of all the dry shampoos I’ve used, Batiste is the only one that really works for me. It takes away the oiliness of my hair, makes my hair feel relatively clean without feeling like it’s weighed down by product and the formulas all smell really nice. I didn’t like this when I first tried it out because it adds texture to my hair that makes it feel kinda weird and starchy (LOL is that a texture?) I guess that’s how it adds volume to the hair and I just wasn’t used to it at first, but I’ve realized how well this really works because it makes my hair look like it’s full of life. Woo!

TONYMOLY sheet masks

I like the Tonymoly masks better than the Faceshop ones because these actually fit my face!! There are fewer air bubbles on my face than what I normally get with a Faceshop mask and I feel like this makes a big difference because more areas of my skin are covered. I also really like the serum in these masks. While I can’t say that these masks give you instant results and help with the skin concerns that each mask is targeted for, I can say that the next day (because I usually use these masks at night) my skin still feels really smooth and bouncy. They have been perfect for helping my tired skin get a boost of freshness and just overall giving it a nice feeling. These are typically $5 each everywhere I’ve seen them sold in store, but I found some at UO for $3.75 each, and you can also buy them on Amazon in bulk, which is even more cheaper.

Maybelline Fit Me! Hydrate+Smooth Foundation

So if you’ve read any of my other posts, you might remember that I use this exact foundation and colour but in the matte+poreless formula. Well I ran out of that and went to go pick up another one but I swear at every single drugstore I was at, they didn’t have my colour in the matte+poreless formula. And it wasn’t that they were sold out or anything, they didn’t have the colour in the display at all. I don’t know if Maybelline discontinued it in my color or what but I was literally having a mild panic attack, so in my moment of desperation I just said yolo and bought it in the hydrate+smooth formula. And I’m not completely disappointed by it! In fact, I think this formula works better for my uncategorized skin type. I think it makes my skin look like it has more dimension, and not as flat as it does with the matte one. I also think it makes my skin look more radiant and gives it a more natural finish, because it doesn’t cling to my skin like the matte formula does. This does kind of exaggerate my oily spots though, but I find that I can fix that by putting a bit of setting powder on my oily spots and I’ll be good for the day. This formula has SPF in it though, so I probably wouldn’t wear it at places where there’s gonna be flash photography, like at a club event or a party or something, to avoid me looking like a ghost. But I think this is great for the summer because of the glowy, dewy finish I get (I’m not going to lie, it took sooo long for me to give dewy skin a try because I’ve had oily skin, and any signs of shine just make me feel like I got an oil slick goin on on my face, but I’ve really come to love it)

I have a bunch of products I want to buy, so if you guys have any suggestions of good tinted moisturizers or BB creams please let me know! I also really want to buy new concealer and lipstick (not like I need anymore) so let me know if you have any suggestions. And I hope yall had a good June!
